B.S.S. (hons) in social work

To objective of the BSS (Hons) in Social Work program is to provide the students a comprehensive idea of man and his social interaction and to equip them with considerable knowledge, technical skills, and values and attitudes appropriate for Social Work practice. The curriculum covers a field practicum where the students are sent to carious social welfare agencies with an objective to apply theoretical knowledge and to attain skills necessary for professional practice. It is expected that the students will be professionally skilled to deal social problems, improve social services, enhance social functioning, link client systems with resources systems, and promote social justice and so on. Besides the major area of concentration, some interdisciplinary courses are offered to enable the students to face the multidimensional issues of the practical life.
